Our Officers

Our elected officers are all volunteers working to make West Virginia better for all veterans

COMMANDER

MIKE BARRETT

Mike is an Army veteran who served from 80-84.  After his service he worked for Montgomery County Public Schools and retired after 26 years of service.  He is happily married to his wife,  Kathy with three sons and eight grandchildren and one great grandchild who he adores.  He is a current Post Commander of Post 30, past 1stVice Commander of the Department. He currently has 16 years of service with AMVETS.

FIRST VICE COMMANDER

RON EVERHART

Ron is a retired U. S. Marine veteran who served his country for 20 years.  Ron is a West Virginian by birth and choice and now lives in Inwood.  He has a son and daughter and is GrandPa to ten grandchildren.  Ron is now retired but does work part-time.  His hobbies include:  old cars, golf, motorcycles and likes the out doors.  Ron is active in the Dept and has served as Post 1stVice in a previous term.

SECOND VICE COMMANDER

KATHY BARRETT

Kathy is an Army veteran who served from 80-91.  After her service she worked in the airline industry making airplane parts and components.  She is happily married to her husband,  Mike with three sons and eight grandchildren and one great grandchild who she adores.  She is a current Post Adjutant of Post 30, past Provost Marshal of the Department. She currently has 16 years of service with AMVETS.

Ed is a retired Marine who is a Past Post Commander, past Post 1stVice Commander, past Post Finance Officer and past Post Judge Advocate.  Ed currently volunteers as the Department, Post 38 and Post 17 Webmaster.
