The Alpine Lake Proposal
- Prices below are with the confirmation of tax-exempt status and with a Master Bill
- One bill will be generated for all hotel lodging and meals at the lodge
- One Primary Contact person to be assigned as the designee of the group and responsible for all communications/decisions related to the group/event
- A deposit of $500 is due by March 1, 2020, to reserve the lodge for banquet services

The above proposal gives the WV Department the opportunity to host a Convention in a family friendly location and atmosphere that we have been discussing for years. The state of the Department finances does not allow this to happen without some commitment from members to attend. The timing of this could be a lot better since the date for commitment by the Department is 1 March.
The Department’s finances will be in much better shape next year since we have added a sixth Post with the seventh coming soon. There is also the possibility of an eighth in the coming months.
We have sent an email to all Posts outlining the proposal and asking for all members to be notified of the Convention and asking them whether or not they would like to participate in the Convention (the Convention is open to all members of the Department). Although the Convention is the 29th through the 31st of May, because of the deadline of March 1 to provide the money for the hold of rooms and facility we will need to decide whether to do this or not before the end of February.
